MIGUEL MONTALVA BARBA, PH.D.

With his dedication to sharing knowledge, Miguel Montalva Barba has educated and inspired countless people inside and outside the classroom. He was previously an immigrant organizer and worked on undocumented and queer issues. Dr. Montalva Barba publishes work that aims to highlight racist inequality.  He has been a speaker at events and conferences on various topics. Miguel prides himself on teaching as well as their research. His work rests on the intersection of urban sociology and the sociology of racism.
